Nantwich’s outdoor brine pool has been crowned one of UK’s best hidden gems in a study.
As the hot weather saw many flocking to outdoor swimming facilities, a study looked at social media and the number of times facilities around the country were hash-tagged.
And Nantwich had the fewest number of hashtags of those analysed, with just 24 Instagram hashtags.
Believed to be the only inland brine pool in Britain, the facility has been popular with residents for many years and opens between May and September.
It offers family swim sessions suitable for those with children, and is also used twice a year at the popular Triathlon events.
Shap Swimming Pool in Cumbria takes second place with just 33 hashtags. At over 900ft above sea level, Shap Swimming Pool is England’s highest open-air heated pool.
