Reaseheath equine students with Bob Ellis and Giovanni Losito

Equine students at Nantwich’s Reaseheath College enjoyed a Christmas show as a reward for their work at the Horse of the Year Show.

Thirty six students and two staff provided the arena party for HOYS, which is the biggest indoor show in the British Isles and attracts thousands of competitors and spectators.

The students rebuilt fences and changed the course within a tight time schedule for major competitions including the famous Puissance, in which the wall reached 7ft 3in.

And as a ‘thank you’, international course designer Bob Ellis and senior course designer Giovanni Losito built a showjumping course in the college’s indoor arena, judged the classes and presented rosettes at a festive end of term show.

Bob Ellis, who will build the showjumping courses for the 2012 London Olympics, said: “The students worked very hard for the whole of the week at HOYS and it has been a pleasure to reward them and their tutors.

“The facilities at Reaseheath are excellent and we had some very exciting competitions.”

Reaseheath’s equine centre has had a £2.3 million investment including an international standard indoor arena which was opened by the Queen.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
