A fruity weekend will be on offer at Reaseheath College in Nantwich as part of a national celebration of the English apple.
The free two-day festival on October 15-16 will feature rare varieties from all over the country, some dating back to Roman times.
Reaseheath horticultural expert Derek Jones will be on hand to identify varieties while Harry Delaney will answer queries on production and other fruits.
Visitors can bring in fruit and foliage for identification and can also bring in their own apples for juicing.
The festival, at Reaseheath for the 19th consecutive year, aims to encourage gardeners to preserve old varieties by growing them in their own gardens.
Harry Delaney said: “The English apple is part of our national heritage and though some species have been lost forever, the festival gives us the chance to think about the huge number of varieties we have left and how we ought to preserve them.”
Tours will be available around Reaseheath’s model fruit garden.
The festival is open 10am to 4pm. Visitors urged to use B5074 Worleston Road entrance.
