An inquest date has been set into the death of a 61-year-old man killed in a house fire at Peckforton, near Nantwich.

Retired farm worker John Ernest Ryder died after he was found in his burning home on Stone House Lane.

Fire crews from Nantwich, Tarporley and Malpas were called to the blaze in April this year.

The married victim was declared dead at the scene despite attempts by paramedics to revive him.

Parts of the first floor in the house collapsed because of the severity of the blaze on April 4.

An inquest into the death is set to take place before assistant deputy coroner for Cheshire Joan Harkin at 1pm on Thursday December 15, at Crewe Municipal Building.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
