Stapeley Parish Council is setting out its 2012-13 spending plans which could see an extra £9 per Band D property on council tax bills.

Now families are being invited to a public meeting to air their views on the spending proposals, which amount to £61,000.

The full proposals will be on the council’s website on Thursday (November 24), with a public meeting to be held the following Thursday December 1.

The meeting starts at 7.30pm at Broad Lane Methodist Chapel, Audlem Road, Nantwich, with councillors listening to the views of the local parishioners between 7.30 and 8.30pm.

Parish Council spokeswoman Carol Jones encouraged as many people as posible to attend.

She said: “You will be presented with the council’s draft proposals for spending in 2012-2013 and will be able to say if you support them. You will also be able to make your own suggestions.

“Suggestions will be collated and considered by the council at its budget-setting meeting in January 2012.”

Car parking is at the rear of the chapel, accessed via Bishops Wood, or on Audlem Road to the front.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
