Firefighters from Nantwich and Crewe tackled a fire in an outbuilding in Nantwich.

The incident happened at around 4pm yesterday (August 8) at a building on Peach Lane near Alvaston Hall in Nantwich.

Fire crews found a detached outbuilding which was well alight at the rear of a business premises.

The building measured approximately 10 metres by five metres.

Two firefighters, wearing breathing apparatus, used a hose reel jet to tackle the fire from within the building, while crews also used a main jet to fight the fire from outside.

After extinguishing the fire the crews used a thermal imaging camera to check for any hotspots and a large fan to clear the smoke from the property.

Firefighters were in attendance for around one hour.

No one was injured and it’s not clear how the fire started.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
