May 11th collection - Foodbank

A second “drop off and go” food collection in aid of Nantwich Foodbank will be held on Monday May 11.

The initiative, organised by Nantwich Food Festival, will be staged for a second time at Brine Leas School in Nantwich.

Between 11am and 1pm, people can drop off food donations at the site. Cheshire Police have given permission for the event to take place.

John Coulter, director of Nantwich Food Festival, said: “We had a very successful collection in April, so we hope to have an even bigger response to such a worthwhile cause.

“Last time the small group of festival volunteers involved in the collection received from the generous people of Nantwich and surrounding area, 127 bags that filled 6 cars!”

Donations of pasta, rice, tinned food, long life milk and juices, washing up liquids, washing powder, toilet rolls are welcome.

Do not donate fresh meat, dairy or vegetables.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
