Detectives have charged two men with firearm offences in connection with an incident in Crewe.

Kenneth Stevenson, of Flag Lane, in Crewe, was arrested on Wednesday April 29.

The 24-year-old has been charged with possession of an offensive weapon, possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence and affray.

Nyle Smith, of Artle Road in Crewe, was also arrested on Wednesday (April 29).

The 24-year-old has subsequently been charged with possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence and affray.

Stevenson and Smith are due to appear at Crewe Magistrates’ Court today (Friday May 1).

The charges relate to an incident which took place at 10pm on Sunday April 19 outside an address on The Birches in Davenport.

On Thursday April 30, a 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm.

He remains in police custody being questioned by detectives.

A fourth man remains outstanding and officers continue their inquiries.
