ditch - Cheshire Fire and Rescue from Audlem Fire Station displayed a full size fire appliance

Fire crews were called to tackle a chimney fire at a house in Wybunbury, near Nantwich.

The fire broke out at around 8pm last night (February 24) on Wrinehill Road, Wybunbury.

On arrival, crews from Nantwich began attacking the fire from the grate in the living room.

Firefighters cut away and opened the ceiling on the first floor to gain better access to the fire.

The thermal imaging camera was also in use.

Crews used a ladder to attack the fire from the roof using a hose reel jet with help from the thermal imaging camera.

Hot spots were identified and extinguished.

The scene was made safe.
