This work is arguably the pinnacle of J S Bach’s whole musical output and has been widely hailed as one of the greatest compositions in musical history. Sung at baroque pitch with leading soloists and accompanied by one of the UK’s outstanding period instrument orchestras, this is an occasion not to be missed.
