Two teenage boys, aged 14 and 16, from Crewe have been charged following an alleged attack in the town.
A 54-year-old man from Crewe suffered a puncture wound as a result of the alleged assault in Somerville Street shortly before 3.45pm on Friday (January 31).
He was taken to hospital in an ambulance. His condition is described as stable.
Two teenage boys, who cannot be named for legal reasons, were arrested in Somerville Street shortly after the incident.
One of them, a 16-year-old, has been charged with wounding with intent and possessing a bladed article in a public place.
The other, a 14-year-old, has been charged with assault by beating.
At Warrington Magistrates’ Court on Saturday (February 1), the 16-year-old was remanded in custody.
The 14-year-old has been released on unconditional bail.
They are both set to appear at Crewe Magistrates’ Court on Thursday February 6.
