Showtime - Crewe Lyceum Theatre, to stage a wedding fayre, and summer events

Here is the latest what’s on list of events and shows coming to Crewe Lyceum Theatre over the next three weeks.

Ed Byrne – If I’m Honest, Tuesday 19 November, 8PM
Following sell-out Edinburgh Fringe dates and an incredibly successful tour last year, one of the finest observational comics in the industry comes to the theatre as part of his brand-new tour for 2019. Join him as he takes a long hard look at himself and tries to decide if he has ANY traits that are worth passing on to his children. A TV household name, Ed can be seen on programmes such as Mock The Week, The Graham Norton Show, Dara & Ed’s Big Adventure and most recently Dara and Ed’s Road to Mandalay.

The Ladyboys of Bangkok, Wednesday 20 November, 7:30PM
Cheekier, funnier and more spectacular than ever, The Ladyboys of Bangkok return for their 21st year of touring the UK. In a cabaret like no other performed by girls like no other, their all new production is bigger, glitzier and more glamorous than ever before. The Life and Rhymes of Benjamin Zephaniah, Thursday 21 November, 7:30PM
Award-winning poet Benjamin Zephaniah has hit the road for the latest leg of his first UK tour in eight years. Featuring stories about his remarkable life, including his friendship with Nelson Mandela, musical career with The Wailers, various political campaigns, and how he became one of Britain’s most popular poets, Benjamin will explain how he fought injustice and discrimination to lead his remarkable life.

Laurie Lee – The Lost Recordings – An Illustrated talk with David Parker, Friday 22 November, Lyceum Studio, 7:45PM
One of England’s greatest writers, heard for the first time in unique recordings. Local film maker David Parker introduces recordings captured in 1994 with one of England’s finest chroniclers of our times, Laurie Lee. Extracts include his early life in the Slad Valley and the influence that the landscapes and memories of his childhood had on his subsequent writing.

The Ronnie Scott’s All Stars, Wednesday 27 November, 7:30PM
