George and Dragon suffered their first defeat of the season when they lost 2-4 to White Lion Ford Lane in the Crewe Regional Sunday League Premier Division.

In an eventful game, the home team finished with only eight men, and the visitors also had a player sent off.

Robbie Hatton and Dean Clarke scored for the home team with Russell Schofield (2), Ben Durkin and Danny Roberts on target for the visitors.

At Bunbury, Elworth Park Rangers raced into a 0-3 lead after just 20 minutes, with goals from Gary Cardno, Lee Saxton and Keiron Duckers.

However, a spirited fightback from NHB saw them end with a 3-3 draw, thanks to goals from George Johnson, Brian Holland and an own goal.

Crewe Athletic maintained their 100% record with a comfortable 5-0 win against White Lion, thanks to goals from Josh Dunne (2), Jordan Amson, Nathan Tickle and Faith Arowosafe.

Willaston White Star and Salvador drew 1-1, with both goals scored late in the game.

Jack Hughes netted for the Star, and Keiron Banks for the visitors.

In Division One, The Old Star maintained their 100% record with a narrow 3-2 win over Broadhurst FC.

Jamie Cain, Terry Cain and Ryan Hughes scored for the home team, and Danny Griffiths netted both for the visitors.

AFC Talbot lost their 100% record when they were held to a 2-2 draw at Sydney Arms, for whom Ben Reddock (2, I Pen.) was again on target.

David Johnson and Liam Challoner (Pen.) scored for the Nantwich outfit.

Audlem had played all their previous games away from home, whilst they waited for pitch improvements to settle in.

And they clearly enjoyed being back on their own turf as they clinched their first win of the season with a resounding 5-0 victory over Sandbach Town.

They won thanks to goals from Lewis Williams, Mark Parker, Andrew Betteley , Kane Fletcher and an own goal.

Bridge Inn led league newcomers Crewe and Nantwich United 3-0 at half-time but ran riot in the second half adding a further eight goals to win 11-1.

Their marksmen were Curtis Rodgers (4), Owen Porter (3), Garry Pownall (2), Andy Tebay and Damian Sloan (pen).

Alex Riley scored for Crewe and Nantwich United.

Barony Park in Nantwich was the place to be for goals, with two games producing a remarkable 25 in total.

Nantwich Pirates beat Princes Feathers 7-5, with goals from Michael Truan (3), Brandon Broadhurst, Sam Cadwallader, Chris Lunn and Rory Saunders.

Two of Michael Truans’ goals came from overhead kicks.

Peter Hase scored four times for the visitors, with Ethan Stockall also on target.

In the other game, Talbot beat White Horse 5-8.

Brandon Grindley bagged a hat-trick, Jordan Cotterell (2), Danny Jones (2) and Joe Goodier scored for Talbot.

Ken Mather (2), Henry Wharton, Johnny Parkes and Jordan Prince netted for White Horse.
