Organisers of the 12th Words and Music Festival in Nantwich have lined up a host of star performers for this year’s event in October.
Acts including Lindisfarne (pictured), Turin Brakes, Terrorvision star Tony Wright, and Hazel O’Connor are among the many performers who have agreed to perform.
“We’re so proud to bring these acts to Nantwich for you to see up close and personal in the centre of our beautiful town,” say organisers.
“We’ve tried again to mix it up, to bring you acts that we think are special, acts that continue the eclectic mix that we’re always seeking, acts that uphold the spirit of Words and Music.
“Tickets are selling fast!”
Performances are taking place all over town this year in a variety of venues.
The Civic Hall plays host to a mix of acts at different gigs from Turin Brakes, to legendary folk-rockers Lindisfarne and bluesy/folk singer-songwriter Scott Matthews.
Shows at the Crown Hotel Ballroom this year will include an acoustic set from Terrorvision frontman Tony Wright, an afternoon set from post-punk raconteur, singer and songwriter Hazel O’Connor, a reading by poet Lemn Sissay, and a gig from riotous party band Holy Moly and The Crackers.
Nantwich’s St Mary’s Church is the venue for Thea Gilmore’s festival show this year which promises to be a very special event.
Many more events will be happening around town.
The Festival runs from October 14-20.
