Nantwich Town have pulled off a real coup in the transfer market – signing the former Stoke City striker Ricardo Fuller!
The 39-year-old arrives at the Weaver Stadium after a two-year break from football, and aims to help the Dabbers achieve promotion.
Fuller made more than 180 appearances for Stoke city during a six-year spell at the Bet365 Stadium.
He also enjoyed short spells with Charlton Athletic, Millwall, Blackpool and Oldham Athletic.
Over his 15-year career, he has payed more than 500 games for club and country, capped by Jamaica 77 times.
Nantwich manager Dave Cooke said: “I think it will be a massive boost for the squad and for the football club all-round, that somebody who has played in the Premier League is prepared to come down and give us his experience and play for the club.
“His experience will be fantastic.
“It will help the younger and older players alike, you could see it in the training sessions we did.
“He talked on the pitch and gave valuable information as the session was going on.
“You can’t buy that at this level – it’s a trait we lack at times and a lot of clubs can lack.
“His voice and communication will be something they can all learn from.”
