Two men have appeared in court charged in connection with the death of Audlem dad Adam Lovatt.
Samuel Thorpe, 23, of Annions Lane, Wybunbury, and Nicholas Hill, 35, of Moorsfield Avenue, Audlem appeared at Crewe Magistrates’ Court yesterday (December 20).
Thorpe is charged with manslaughter while Hill is charged with assisting an offender.
Both Thorpe and Hill have been given conditional bail.
They are due to appear on January 16 at Chester Crown Court.
Two other people were arrested in connection with the incident.
A 44-year-old man from Market Drayton has been given a conditional caution for a public order offence.
No further action is being taken against a 58-year-old woman from Market Drayton, who was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
The charges relate to an incident on Friday May 25 on Shropshire Street in Audlem where 45-year-old Mr Lovatt was found with serious injuries.
Mr Lovatt was taken to the Royal Stoke hospital where he later died.
