Anti-bullying week

Pupils at St Anne’s Primary School in Nantwich put their best feet forward during anti-bullying week!

The youngsters took part in a week-long series of activities to celebrate being different – including a colourful “Off Socks Day”.

An assembly helped the children to think about the ways in which people can be different and the importance of everyone being kind and thoughtful to each other.

There was also focus on internet safety and not bullying people online, and local Cheshire Police PCSOs, Alexis and Vickie, delivered an assembly on the theme of anti-bullying.

They reminded the children of the importance of respecting each other and the community as a whole.

St Anne’s Primary headteacher Hazel Brown said: “Throughout the week the children have completed a range of activities from writing reports to making posters and taking part in drama.

“All aimed at helping the children to understand the important message that we can all do our bit to stamp out bullying everywhere and make the world a better place in which to live.

“The week finished on Friday with the children wearing blue for B.L.U.E. Day reminding them to be loving and understanding to everyone.”

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

How lovely, I remember when my daughter was that age, every Friday they would pop next door to the elderly nuns in the care home by the school to play cards, sing and chat.
The children loved it and the elderly really appreciated the company too.
