A man has been charged with drugs offences following a proactive drugs operation in Willaston, Nantwich, say Cheshire Police.
Lee Marr, 29, from Liverpool, was arrested at 2pm yesterday (July 31) after officers from Crewe Local Policing Unit stopped a taxi on Wistaston Road.
Marr, of Beckett Street, Liverpool, was subsequently charged with possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.
He appeared at Crewe Magistrates’ Court today (Wednesday August 1) where he pleaded not guilty to charges.
Marr has been remanded in custody and is next due to appear at Chester Crown Court on August 29.
Three other men were also arrested as part of the operation, all of whom have since been released pending further enquiries.
They include a 42-year-old man from Willaston, arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs.
Also arrested was a 34-year-old man from Prescott on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs and acquire/use/possession of criminal property, and a 41-year-old man from Huyton, arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs.
