‘The Very Best In Stand Up’ returns to Nantwich Civic Hall on Friday November 3, with four top class comics guaranteed to bring fireworks.
The first act of the evening is Paul McCaffrey.
A stand-up comedian and comic actor who can be watched on the BBC3 prank show, Impractical Jokers, starring alongside Roisin Conaty, Joel Dommett and Marek Larwood.
As a stand-up, Paul established himself on the circuit with his likeable, ‘everyman’ persona, winning both The London Paper and the Latitude Festival new act competitions.
In 2012, he took his second solo stand-up show, Pills‘n’Thrills and Bellylaughs to the Edinburgh Festival to great critical acclaim.
Paul has filmed the stand-up spot on Russell Howard’s Good News (BBC3) and is a regular guest on Extra Time (talkSPORT).
He has also done studio warm-up for The Morgana Show (Channel 4) and That Sunday Night Show (ITV 1) and can currently be seen at some of the best comedy clubs in the country.
Next act is Canadian funnyman Bobby Mair.
Mair has been performing comedy for 11 years and currently lives in London.
He is best known for reading the Internet to Julian Assange through a megaphone and trolling Katie Hopkins by appearing on her show then giving his appearance fee to everyone she hates.
He has appeared twice at the prestigious ‘Just For Laughs’ Festival, starred in his own webseries for Comedy Central called The Bobby Mair Show, and appeared on several TV shows including 8 Out Of 10 Cats, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Russell Howard’s Good News & Live At The Comedy Store.
Last year, he was asked to support American comic Bill Burr on his UK tour which saw him perform to sell-out crowds in some of the UK’s largest theatres.
Last up is the hilarious Steve Shanyaski.
Bored of his day job, Shanyaski had an epiphany, walked out of the door and straight onto the comedy stage – he hasn’t looked back since.
His inherent warmth and cheeky, roguish twinkle shines through his material, elevating him to quite another level as a performer.
Now headlining at the all the biggest clubs in the UK, he is a sure fire crowd pleaser.
The compere is Ian Boldsworth, the artist formerly known as ‘Ray Peacock’.
He is a multiple award winner (for the Peacock & Gamble podcast) & was nominated for ‘Best Compere’ at the Chortle awards.
Quick-witted, instantly likeable and a heckler’s worst nightmare.
