Police are hunting teenagers after a knife attack on a South Cheshire bowling alley employee.

Detectives want witnesses to the serious assault at Phoenix Leisure Park in Crewe to come forward.

A gang of teenagers entered the bowling alley on Dunwoody Way and started acting anti-socially.

They were asked to leave by a member of staff who was then assaulted with a knife when an altercation broke out.

A 20-year-old man from Crewe was taken to Leighton Hospital for treatment.

One of the teenagers is described as between 5ft 7in – 5ft 8in, aged around 16, with short light brown hair.

He was wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans and had an Irish accent.

Another teenager was 5ft 7in – 5ft 8in, aged around 16, with short brown hair.

He was wearing a dark coat zipped up with a distinctive white line running from the shoulder down to the cuff. He was also wearing dark jeans.

Det Sgt Martin Caldwell said: “This was a vicious attack and the victim has been left extremely shaken.

“I am keen to trace those responsible so they can be made to face the consequences of their actions.

“We are currently following a number of lines of enquiry and as part of the investigation I want to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time, who witnessed anything suspicious or has any information that can help with our enquiries.”

The incident took place on Sunday September 17 at around 5.25pm.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 654 of 17 September.
