league title Railway Hotel FC, Nantwich, league and cup double winners

Railway Hotel’s fifth successive league title has been put on hold – but the Nantwich side only need a point to clinch it.

Players and staff thought the 5-1 victory at Willaston WS was enough to secure the Crewe Regional Sunday Premier League.

However, an error in the league table which had shown them having two more points than they actually had, means they still need one more point.

But they are 12 points clear of second placed Square One who have four games left.

Willaston WS opened the scoring against Railway in the first minute through Steve Hamill.

A Jez Tagg hat-trick and other goals from Matt Cope and Asher Moat secured the victory.

Square One probably ended the runners up chances of AFC Leopard with a comprehensive 7-1 win with goals from Herron (3), Lines, Newton, Ledwards and Lewis.

Dutton scored for AFC Leopard.

Sydney Arms won 3-2 at NHB FC to keep up their challenge for runners up with goals from Adie Socha, Mike Chesters and Danny May.

Dan Ball scored both goals for NHB FC.

Salvador led AFC Barkode 2-0 but AFC Barkode fought back to draw 2-2.

Luke Forrester and Niven Bailey scored for Salvador with Lewis Clark and Craig Pownall scoring for AFC Barkode.

The Division One title can still be won by five teams, but games in hand could prove crucial.

Elworth Park moved back to the top following a 5-3 win at Barrel & Tap.

Ben Cox netted a hat-trick for the Barrel with Dan Vickers (2), Matt Gibson, Liam Gibson and James Husher.

Betley FC’s game with Sandbach Town was abandoned after 45 minutes following a serious injury to a Betley FC player.

The score at the time was 1-1.

Bank Corner beat title rivals Nantwich YF 3-1 with goals from Jordan Southwell (2) and Jon Hart.

Simon Roberts scored for Nantwich YF.

A Gary Beardsmith goal was enough to give White Horse a 1-0 win at Haslington FC.

Cricketers Arms beat Audlem 4-2 with Olly Dunning netting a hat-trick and Jack Maran also scoring.

Andy Betteley scored both goals for Audlem.

Bottom club Market Tavern drew 3-3 with White Eagles with Ben Guildford scoring twice and Dan Morgan also scoring.

Martin Szklarsk bagged a hat-trick for White Eagles.

Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
