Mat Bailey for Nantwich Town v Ramsbottom United 01.01.1503

Nantwich Town defender Mat Bailey has left the club to join our league rivals Stafford Rangers.

Bailey has had a long association with the Dabbers, where he started his career as a youth team player.

He left to join Stockport County and enjoyed a wide-ranging playing career.

He rejoined the club in 2011 and went on to become a key member of the defensive unit.

He briefly left again to join AFC Telford United, but once again returned.

Bailey has decided to take up a fresh challenge.

Nantwich Town boss Phil Parkinson said: “Bails has been a great defender for Nantwich Town Football Club and a popular player around the club with teammates and supporters alike.

“He came to chat to me about Stafford and then later informed me of his decision, which I accepted.

“Mat will be missed in the squad no doubt, but with Ben Harrison and Curtis Jones I am happy with my central defenders.

“And we have other players such as the returning Daz Thornton that can cover as well.

“I wish Mat all the best in the future. He’s a great guy, and thank him for all his hard work for Nantwich Town since I became manager.”

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
