Gamma Ball Rally car, Eze Talk

Staff at South Cheshire telecoms firm Eze Talk are gearing up for a road challenge to remember – the Gamma Ball Rally!

The team is entering the rally for the third successive year, with the three-day rally starting on September 14.

Thirty-five teams have a maximum of £500 to spend on a vehicle and are required to dress the car up!

In the last two years, Eze Talk has helped raise more than £240,000 for the event’s charities, Action Through Enterprise and SpecialEffect.

Mike Taitt, CEO of Eze Talk, said: “We are really excited about this year’s Gamma Ball Rally and are very much rising to the challenge!

“We’d like to thank our supply partner Gamma, for organising such a fantastic and worthwhile event which is not only great fun but raises huge amounts of money for their special charities.”

Last year Eze Talk’s 15-year-old Jaguar S Type retired in Amsterdam following two rallies.

This year, the firm spent £480 on a 2004 140,000-mile Chrysler Voyager (pictured).

The car has now entered a garage in a secret location to begin it’s transformation from a seven seater people carrier into an eye-catching rally car.

Richard Bligh, chief operating officer at Gamma, said: “We’re proud of the reputation the rally has built up across the channel.

“It’s a great opportunity for our channel partners and sponsors to enjoy themselves while raising lots of money for two great charities – Action Through Enterprise and SpecialEffect.

“The money raised makes a huge difference to these charities.”

Any residents of Crewe and Nantwich who spot the car, can tweet @eze_talk using the #EteamGBR hashtag to be entered into a draw for a year’s free broadband.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
