tom stade, live comedy very best in stand up comedy

The Very Best In Stand Up live comedy returns to Nantwich Civic Hall on September 2 with a star-studded show to kick off a new season.

And comedy fans will enjoy top comedians from around the globe in the first show.

Gordon Southern, one of the busiest acts on the international circuit, will be first on stage.

He travels the world appearing regularly at the biggest comedy festivals, with a brand of upbeat and energetic observational comedy and quick-witted improvisation.

Next up will be Geordie funnyman Barry Dodds, who took to the comedy stage at the tender age of 21 and soon had audiences eating out of the palm of his hand.

Barry records a weekly podcast with comedian Ray Peacock – The Parapod – all about the supernatural.

Ray and Barry debate the paranormal, explore hauntings, and delve headfirst into the unknown.

The Parapod quickly became a cult hit, and was nominated for ‘Best Internet’ at the 2016 Chortle Awards.

Headline act sees the return of Canadian star and fan favourite Tom Stade (pictured).

Tom is touring the UK playing large theatres on his own, and has headlined the biggest clubs in the world.

Like his first visit to Nantwich, it promises to be unforgettable.

Compere for the evening is Russell Hicks, one of the most exciting comics to come out of America.

Hicks, making his Nantwich debut, is branded one of the ‘Top Six Comics to Watch’ by LA’s Stand Up Talk Magazine.

He has appeared on LA panel show Direct TV’s ‘What’s News?’ and is a regular guest on hit podcasts such as Talkin’ Sh*t with Eddie Ifft.

The show is on Friday September 2 and tickets are on sale at £10 from the Civic Hall or from the SeeTickets link on www.civiccomedy.co.uk

Table reservations are available for groups of six or more on a first come, first basis.

Doors open at 7.15pm and the show starts at 8.15pm.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
