Crewe Lyceum Theatre goers can enjoy A Night in Venice on July 8.
It will feature X-Factor star Jonathan Ansell and sopranos Maria Kesselman and Li Li performing music from Verdi, Puccini and more.
Ansell, frontman of pop-opera group G4, shot to fame on the first series of ITV’s X-Factor.
He has since gone on to achieve success as a solo artist, including a nomination for a Classical Brit Award.
He also has a string of musical theatre credits – Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Whistle Down the Wind; the Carl Rosa Opera Company’s interpretation of Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Mikado; and Bill Kenwright’s National Tour of Lark Rise to Candleford.
Ansell will be joined on stage by world-famous sopranos Maria Kesselman and Li Li.
Maria has enjoyed a career across musical theatre, opera dance, theatre, concert, cabaret and as a recording artist.
Her credits include roles such as Christine opposite Michael Crawford in The Phantom of the Opera at Her Majesty’s Theatre and as Despina in Cosi Fan Tutti for Music Theatre London, in London and Amsterdam.
Li Li, a classical crossover opera soprano, has performed internationally and regularly appears on TV.
She performed at the martial arts Olympics opening ceremony, Superkombat’s World Grand Prix Final, and RAI 1 Italian TV.
She also recorded a Christmas single as a duet with the late Sir Christopher Lee, which reached 18 in the 2013 USA Billboard charts.
Marketing Officer Michelle May said: “Opera lovers are in for a treat.
“With a superb cast of world-renowned classical crossover performers, including G4’s Jonathan Ansell, this Night In Venice is one not to be missed.”
Music is performed by the European Baroque Ensemble.
