A Max Harrop goal helped Nantwich Town get their play-off push back on track with a hard-fought victory over Barwell.
It was returning striker Harrop who proved the hero for the Dabbers, netting a last-minute winner at the Weaver Stadium.
Josh Hancock had given Nantwich an early lead on 13 minutes in a evenly-contested game played in wet and windy conditions.
But the visitors hit back after the break, equalising on 56 minutes through Jamie Towers.
Nantwich created good chances to score again, but were finding it tough to breakthrough.
Harrop, who returned to the club earlier in the week, was brought on from the substitute’s bench.
And he popped up in the box on 90 minutes to fire home the winner to give Nantwich an outside chance to push for the play offs.
The victory leaves them in ninth place in the Evo-Stik Premier Division, closing the gap on Barwell in seventh.
Nantwich are still 15 points from the play off places, but have three or four games in hand on most of the sides above them.
Nantwich return to action tomorrow (Easter Monday) when they travel to face Skelmersdale United, kick off 3pm.
