The Very Best in Stand Up kicks off live comedy for 2016 at Nantwich Civic Hall on February 5.

More top acts are lined up between now and June, including debuts for Joel Dommett (BBC, E4) and Henry Paker (BBC3) and welcome returns from Jason Cook (BBC’s Hebburn) and Nathan Caton (Mock The Week).

Promoters also welcome back Silky to Nantwich Civic in February’s show after last delivering his part-guitar wielding, part-straight stand up comedy three years ago.

With a career in comedy that started in the mid 90s and saw Silky become a finalist at the BBC New Comedy Awards after just 12 months, he now travels the country playing top clubs in the UK with his charming and affable comedy.

Making his debut at the Civic, Henry Paker was alongside Reginald D Hunter, Jason Cook and Patrick Monahan on the opening line-up of The Very Best In Stand Up back in 2009 at Crewe’s former M Club.

One of the best crafters of gags in the industry, Henry is one of the most sought after writers.

He has written for Mock the Week, 8 out of 10 Cats, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Stand Up for the Week, Big Fat Quiz of the Year and Comic Relief.

Ivo Graham is also part of one of the top stables of comedy in the world.

With a team behind him that looks after Alan Carr, Jonathan Ross and Michael McIntyre, it’s no wonder he’s being tipped for big things.

Apologetic Eton and Oxford alumnus, Ivo started stand-up in 2009 at 18 and eight months later became the youngest ever winner of the prestigious So You Think You’re Funny award for new acts at the Edinburgh Fringe.

Keeping the show together will be comedy veteran Michael Wilkinson.

A professional comic for over 10 years, Michael has supported Peter Kay, Johnny Vegas, Ross Noble and others, and headlines comedy clubs across the country.

Like Henry and Ivo, Mike comes to Nantwich for the first time.

The show takes place on Friday February 5 and tickets are on sale priced at £10 from Civic Hall direct or from the SeeTickets – www.civiccomedy.co.uk

Doors open at 7.15pm and the show starts at 8.15pm.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
