A51 Bypass crash

A Nantwich man was killed when his car careered off the A49 near Whitchurch and smashed into a tree.

Police say Andrew Beddows, 32, from the Nantwich area, died at the scene of the accident.

He was driving a green BMW 320 at 8.50pm on Thursday January 14 at Quoisley Bridge on the A49 near to Bradley Green.

It left the carriageway and collided with a tree.

Police are investigating the incident and are appealing for anyone who witnessed what happened or may have seen the car travelling in the area around that time to come forward.

Anyone with any information is urged to call Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 834 of 14 January.
