Brine Leas pupils have teamed up with Nantwich Rotary Club for this year’s Christmas shoebox campaign aimed at Eastern Europe.
Youngsters have filled their ‘charity shoe boxes’ with festive gifts that children in impoverished areas would not normally receive.
Some selected toys for the younger members, others focussed on cosmetic items for teenagers and the rest donated goods for the household.
Brine Leas students are pictured with some of the 100 filled boxes, which are now on their way to Tirana in Albania, Iasi in eastern Romania and Odessa in Moldova.
Katie Batten co-ordinated the project with Tony Coxhill, the former president of Nantwich Rotary Club and Michael Parrott, chair of their International Committee.
Katie said: “We would like to thank the Rotary Club for inviting us to take part in this splendid project.
“It helps our students appreciate that there are many young people not as fortunate as others.”
