wrenbury art group remembrance service

The congregation of St Margaret’s Church in Wrenbury had the support of the thriving Wrenbury Art Group for its Remembrance Service.

Their paintings were illuminated by tea-lights for the evening service on Sunday.

Each painting has significance to the artists in terms of either All Hallows Day or the United Nations “Year of Light”.

Reverend Alison Fulford, Vicar of St Margaret’s, was delighted the theme also reinforced the wonderful message of Christ Jesus being the “Light of the World”.

Trevor Park, chairman of Wrenbury Art Group, was delighted at the cooperation shown by his members.

The successful group is also holding a selling exhibition of their works at the Parish Rooms, Nantwich on Saturday November 28.

Meanwhile, a Remembrance Day Service will take place on Sunday November 8 at 3pm at the Wistaston Memorial Hall, on Church Lane, Wistaston.

During the service, one of the 16 World War 2 heroes from Wistaston will be remembered.

Lieutenant Ronald Arthur Hulse, Royal Artillery, died on June 17, 1944, aged 29 years old.

The Memorial Hall Committee is dedicated to managing the 66-year-old building to ensure the memory of 16 Wistonians who perished in WW2 is not forgotten.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
