Aqueduct Marina staff near Nantwich have presented more than £2,000 to the charity Crohns and Colitis UK.
Employees Julie Beedham and Coryn Lawton at the Church Minshull venue presented a cheque for £2015.73 to charity representatives Barry and Sue Flint.
Every year Aqueduct Marina stages a “Boaters’ Bash” party for moorers and customers and a Family Fun Day to showcase the marina.
Staff choose a charity to benefit from funds raised at these events.
And this year, Crohns and Colitis UK was proposed by Barry and Sue Flint, who moor their boat Tiller Girl at Aqueduct Marina.
The charity has helped the couple’s daughter.
Marina owner Robert Parton said: “There are many people who suffer in silence from the effects of Crohns and colitis and the public were keen to donate in support of the charity.
“It proved to be a very popular cause.”
Barry and Sue said: “We are delighted to receive this fabulous amount on behalf of the charity who have given our family so much care and support.”
The money was raised at the Open Weekend in July, which included the Boaters Bash and the Family Fun Day the next day.
The public enjoyed boat trips on the canal, tombola, model boats, a dog show and more.
The marina invited different stalls to take part with all stall-holder fees going to the charity.
