honours - parents protest over school funding - Edward Timpson, MP for Crewe and Nantwich, Minister for Children and Families

Crewe & Nantwich MP Edward Timpson has received an apology for wrongly being named on a list of debtors.

The Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority (IPSA) wrongly included Mr Timpson, Minister for Children and Families, on a published list.

It suggested Mr Timpson had £127.70 of debt written off, with other MPs also named.

But now the Chief Executive of IPSA, Marcial Boo, has written to Mr Timpson to apologise.

He said: “Due to an error in our system the £127.70 still appeared to be outstanding when we looked at the data again, so it was written off.

“I apologise that we did not resolve this error sooner. We will now amend our published data to reflect this…”

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
