shaw Lane defeat - Phil Parkinson, Nantwich Town manager

Nantwich Town are looking to build on their strong start to the season when they welcome Buxton to the Weaver Stadium today (Bank Holiday Monday).

Phil Parkinson’s men earned a deserved point in a 1-1 draw away at league leaders Blyth Spartans on Saturday.

Steve Jones equalised for the Dabbers in the 69th minute, ten minutes after Robert Dale had fired the hosts in front.

Nantwich dominated at times, and were applauded off the pitch by Blyth supporters and their own fans at the end.

The result left Nantwich in third place, joint highest scorers in the league with 16 goals and the best goal difference.

Their last outing at home saw them hammer Sutton Coldfield 4-1 last Tuesday, thanks to goals by Josh Hancock, Steve Jones, Matty Kosylo and Elliot Osborne.

Victory at home to Buxton could see them top the Evo-Stik Premier League if leaders Blyth and second place Salford City slip up.

Kick off this afternoon is 3pm at the Weaver Stadium.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
