Nantwich Singers

Nantwich Singers are to stage a one-off event for Gilbert and Sullivan lovers!

The group’s new musical director Alison Phillips is inviting fans to sing HMS Pinafore with them at an afternoon workshop.

It will be followed by a performance early evening on October 17.

Accompanying Alison will be John Gough.

Singers spokeswoman Tiki Wilson said: “This will be an entertaining and informal event, full of musical fun and comedy, and a way of introducing Alison to a wider audience.

“She is already well-known in the Nantwich community and further afield as a leading professional Soprano soloist.

“And she has been a member of the Nantwich Singers for many years!”

Alison studied at the Northern School of Music and the Royal Northern College of Music.

She was a member of the BBC Northern Singers and as a solo oratorio singer she has sung with choral societies throughout the North West of England.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
