Everybody Sport and Leisure - apprenticeships training offered

Everybody Sport and Recreation is offering 10 apprenticeships to kick-start careers in leisure.

The Cheshire East trust, which was formed in May last year, hopes the roles will provide job training and qualifications for those trying to get in to the leisure industry.

Thomas Barton, head of HR, said: “These new apprenticeship positions will help candidates to establish a career in the leisure industry.

“They will gain real-life experience of what it is like to work in the sector.

“From business admin, marketing and finance to human resources, leisure development and leisure operations – there are opportunities in numerous roles.

“Developing our team is at the heart of what we do, and we welcome colleagues with high potential to help us drive our business forward.”

The 12-month apprenticeships will also offer relevant industry courses and team building.

Mr Barton added: “We see this as ideally being a stepping stone into employment either with us, or for the apprentice to move on to a level 3 apprenticeship.”

Everybody has recruited more than 40 new members of staff in the past 12 months from cleaners, receptionist, lifeguards and managers.

Everybody Academy is the learning and development arm of the trust.

Richard Roeton, learning and development manager at Everybody Academy, said: “We strive to provide excellent learning opportunities to everyone who attends the Academy.

“We are proud to offer a wide range of work placements, traineeships and apprenticeships, as well as a highly successful volunteer programme to our local communities.

“All these supported programmes provide structured pathways for continuous development and enhanced employment opportunities.”

Closing date for apprenticeship applications is June 26.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

  1. Great news and what a fantastic opportunity for 10 young individuals to start and apprenticeship and get involved in the sport and leisure industry. Commonly this typre of career move would require individuals to attend uni for a few years with no practical experience. This is a great opportunity and we wish the lucky 10 individuals all the best in their apprenticeship programme!
