Sam Hall, new signing for Nantwich Town

Nantwich Town manager Phil Parkinson has secured a series of new signings for the Weaver Stadium outfit.

The latest arrivals are Leek Town skipper Sam Hall, and young Newcastle Town star Joshua Gordon.

Hall (pictured) helped Leek to the Evo-Stik Division One play-off final this year.

“Sam will bring quality, experience, leadership and goals,” said Nantwich boss Phil Parkinson.

“He has an uncanny knack of scoring important goals and we are extremely pleased to have him at the club.

“He represents everything we are trying to do here, by bringing the best local talent in South Cheshire and North Staffordshire to the Weaver Stadium.”

Hall established himself as one of the best midfield players in Evo-Stik Division One, and was named the Managers Player of the Season in 2012/13.

In his three years with Leek, Hall made a total of 153 appearances scoring eight goals.

Nantwich have also confirmed supporters player of the season Matty Kosylo has committed his future to the Dabbers, along with ex Northern Ireland international Steve Jones.

They will join Joshua Gordon, who played a large part in Newcastle Town’s drive towards the play Division One play offs last season, and centre half prospect Jon Moran, from Crewe Alexandra.

“I am delighted with the signings that we have made so far,” said Parkinson.

“Especially as these are players who have shown me and our supporters hey want to play for Nantwich Town above all else.

“They believe in what we are all trying to do and Matthew Kosylo and Steve Jones have again epitomised this ethos.

“Despite being courted by a number of high profile clubs, they have chosen to stay with us and continue on this exciting journey that we started late last season.

“Jon Moran is a player we believe has a very promising and exciting future, as I am sure anyone who saw his performances when he came into the team on loan from Crewe Alexandra would agree.

“Unsurprisingly, he had interest from a number of major clubs including Wrexham and Dundee Utd, as well as a full scholarship in America.

“The fact he has chosen to join us is great testimony to the way we are trying to do things and he and his family know we will be doing all we can to help him continue his development.

“Josh Gordon is a young, very talented, powerful goal scoring winger, who was extremely well sort after by a host of clubs after his exploits for Newcastle Town last season.

“And despite offers from elsewhere, he is another exciting young player who has chosen Nantwich Town.”

One player leaving Nantwich is Harry Clayton, who has accepted an offer to join Colwyn Bay for the coming season.

Meanwhile, Nantwich Town have agreed a second pre-season friendly.

The club will welcome Vanarama National North side AFC Fylde to the Weaver Stadium on Saturday July 25, kick off 3pm.

Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
