burst water main

Motorists are being warned of congestion around Nantwich after a burst water main flooded the busy Sainsbury’s roundabout junction.

United Utilities are on site trying to fix the burst, which has caused thousands of gallons to pour across the carriageways.

The roundabout sees major routes converge, including the A51, A500 and A530.

Congestion is already starting to build up and traffic is advised to avoid the area.

A Cheshire East spokesperson said: “Motorists are advised to avoid Sainsbury’s roundabout in Nantwich – burst water main is causing traffic to back up.”

These pictures, sent in by @nantwichnews Twitter followers, show the scale of the burst and floods.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
