Iain Howard, new Nantwich Town signing

Nantwich Town midfielder Iain Howard has left the club because of travelling problems.

Howard, who joined the club from Witton Albion in September, car shared with a number of players who have already left  this season.

It meant he had problems continuing his travelling arrangements.

Howard said: “It’s been a hard decision, but the travelling is too much with my job as well.”

New Dabbers manager Phil Parkinson said: “I would like to have worked with Iain Howard, but it was not meant to be with a change in his travelling circumstances.

“It was tough for him to get down for training.

“I completely understand his situation and I was happy to help Iain get released as quickly and smoothly as possible.”

Howard made his debut for Nantwich  against Matlock Town in September last year, where he picked up the man of the match award.

He scored his first goal in Nantwich colours a month later as he netted from the penalty spot at Whitby Town in a 3-1 defeat.

His other Nantwich goal also came from the spot as the Dabbers beat Belper 4-1 at the end of November.

A club spokesman said: “Nantwich would like to thank Iain for all his efforts and would like to wish him all the best with the next club he chooses to join.”

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
