Nantwich Town visit Ashton United in the Northern Premier League hoping for three points to climb away from the relegation zone.

Danny Johnson’s men were held to a 0-0 draw against fellow strugglers Trafford FC at the Weaver Stadium last weekend, moving to 18th place in Evo-Stik Premier League.

And for Johnson it will be an emotional return to Hurst Cross after six and a half years as Ashton United boss before he made the move to South Cheshire in 2013.

He is not the only Dabber making the journey back to their former club as Matty Koslyo, Terry Smith (pictured) and Iain Howard all previously played for the Robins.

And in the Ashton ranks is Sam Wilson, ex Nantwich right back who joined the Manchester-based club in mid November. It will be the first time that Wilson will face his former side.

He was on the score sheet in Ashton’s last match as they beat Workington AFC 3-2 at Hurst Cross as they sit in the final play off spot.

Nantwich welcomed Ashton to the Weaver Stadium in October losing 3-1, Max Harrop scoring Nantwich’s goal in the game.

Ashton have put out a plea asking for fans to help clear snow off the pitch from 8am tomorrow (January 31).

Kick off at Hurst Cross is 3pm with admission £10 adults and £6 concessions.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
