Mid Cheshire Hospitals 'elfie' campaign

More than £120 was raised for Mid Cheshire Hospitals Charity by its “Send us your Elfie” campaign.

The cash will go towards the charity’s MRI Scanner Appeal at Leighton Hospital.

Now they are calling for two more volunteers to participate in the Great Manchester run in May in aid of the appeal.

The “Send us your Elfie” campaign enabled local businesses and supporters to show support by taking an ‘Elfie’ snap, posting it on social media and nominating friends, colleagues and family, using hashtags #MCHCElfie and #teamElfie.

Mid Cheshire Hospitals Charity is also championing the Great Manchester run in May, and still have two places remaining.

The charity will pay for your place and running vest and will also provide sponsorship forms.

In return, volunteers are asked for a minimum fundraising commitment of £250.

Laura Riddle, charity manager, said: “The generosity of the general public and local businesses towards this appeal is fantastic, and it was great to see so many supporters take part.

“We still have quite a way to go before the £1 million MRI Scanner Appeal target is achieved, to provide an additional MRI scanner at Leighton Hospital in March 2016.

“I’d like to thank the local community for their continued support so far.”

The current MRI scanner is working to full capacity between 8am to 8pm, seven days a week, with around 30 patients a day being scanned.

Reaching the £1 million target will procure an additional scanner and provide benefits to patients, staff and the trust.

You can donate the MRI Scanner Appeal online by visiting www.mchcharity.org or text mchc00 and your amount to 70070.

Maximum donation by text is £10.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
