Division One side Salvador gave Premier Division leaders Railway Hotel a real tussle in the Presidents Cup.

The only goal came for Railway from Jez Tagg following a defensive error.

In the only other tie to survive the hard frost, Wistaston Ath had a more comfortable passage with a 5-1 win at Boot & Shoe Villa.

Rhys Potter netted a hat-trick with the other goals from Jack Turner and Matt Taylor. Keiran Beech replied for Boot & Shoe.

There are new leaders in Division One with Faddiley going to the top with a 6-1 win at bottom club Audlem.

The goals came from Joey Hylton (2), Leigh Beresford (2), Will Emerton and Henry Wharton. O’hara scored the consolation for Audlem.

Rising Sun moved up to third place with a 3-0 win at Haslington thanks to goals from Damien Sloan, Gary Pownall and Ryan Hughes.
