Father Christmas at Wistaston cancer charity fair

The annual Cancer Research UK ‘Christmas Fair’ at the Wistaston Memorial Hall was hailed a big success with more than £3,000 raised.

The event was organised by the Crewe and Nantwich Support Group for Cancer Research UK.

There were numerous stalls selling gifts, plants, cakes and Christmas cards, plus a Tea Room serving drinks and snacks.

There was also a Teddy Bear Tombola and of course Father Christmas was there as well.

Support Group committee chairman John Pass said: “We thank everyone for their support.

“Once again the people of Wistaston have come out in large numbers to support Cancer Research UK.”

A total of £3,479.42 was raised at the event.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
