exhibition half term Nantwich Museum, flagday, stages First World War talks

An exhibition of work by Nantwich Museum’s Craft Group has opened in the Community Gallery of the museum.

Recent work by the group will be on display including the Voluntary Aid Detachment uniform made especially for the Great War exhibition.

It is also a chance to view the timeline depicting key events in the history of the town.

Entry to the exhibition on Pillory Street , which runs until January 3, is free.

Accompanying the exhibition, which runs until January 3, will be the Christmas Fairs when items prepared by the craft group will be available for sale in support of museum funds.

The fairs will take place in the Millennium Gallery of the museum on Saturday November 22 and Saturday November 29.

“This is an ideal opportunity to make some early preparations for Christmas celebrations as well as supporting the work of the museum,” said a spokesman.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
