Nantwich Town Youth team 2014-15

Nantwich Town’s Youth Team are celebrating after reaching the first round proper of the FA Youth Cup.

The young Dabbers have won three qualifying rounds, and now face a trip to League One Rochdale Youth on Tuesday November 4.

The Nantwich team, who are all local youngsters, first beat Lancaster City away and then Staveley Miners Welfare.

And in their final qualifying round last Wednesday they produced a superb performance to win 4-0 away at Marine FC.

A Nantwich Town spokesman said: “This is a fantastic achievement by a group of very hard working and committed local young players.”

The team is managed by Steve Smithies, Mark Minshull (assistant manager) and Nick Rimmer (goal-keeping coach).

The game at Rochdale takes place at the Spotland Stadium on November 4, kick off is at 7pm.
