A Willaston councillor is urging residents fighting a plan to build 170 homes to attend a public inquiry.
Richborough Estates want to build the properties on land north of Moorfields in Willaston, near Nantwich.
The company appealed to the Planning Inspector claiming non-determination of the application by Cheshire East Council.
And the planning inquiry is set to be held at Crewe Alexandra’s stadium in Gresty Road on Tuesday June 17, from 10am.
The inquiry is scheduled for four days.
Cllr Brian Silvester said: “Usually the Inspector will set a timetable on the first morning of the inquiry for residents to speak.
“Residents are asked to attend to show their strong objections to this application for houses in the Green Gap.”

Cllr Silvester added: “I have already asked for a speaking spot so I can voice the strong objections of my constituents.”
Richborough Estates have also submitted a second application for a reduced 146 homes on the same site.
They have also added a play area and more landscaping in the second application.
But Cllr Silvester says many residents do not want any development, fearing a big impact on traffic and parking problems, a lack of school places, and increased potential for flooding.
