Welsh Row/Weaver Bank, Nantwich

Busy Welsh Row in Nantwich is to be closed for up to two weeks for major works on a collapsed sewer.

The closure will be from its junction with Waterlode to its junction with Taylor Drive.

Emergency works on the sewer will take place outside the Black Lion pub from March 3 to March 17.

Cheshire East Council say the temporary road closure is “necessary to avoid danger to highway users” while United Utilities carries out the work.

The alternative route during the closure will be via the A534 Waterlode and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained along with access for emergency vehicles and residents where possible.

The closure notice will be for 21 days, but it is hoped the work will be done in two weeks.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
