Blyth FA Cup - Nantwich Town's Weaver Stadium, pre-season games, community football

Nantwich Town are hoping to land a big signing in the transfer window – a new head groundsman!

Bosses at the Weaver Stadium are keen to bring in experience to help improve the playing area and surrounds at the ground off Waterlode.

The post involves day to day maintenance of the pitch throughout the year and match day preparations, with the support of other volunteers.

A club spokesman said: “The role would suit an enthusiastic person, with some experience in looking after grounds or gardens.

“It involves working with professional advisers in the field of ground maintenance with the objective of presenting a top class playing surface.

“As befits a not-for-profit organisation, this is a voluntary role, although reasonable expenses will be paid.”

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
