Nantwich Museum has announced the launch of Nantwich Cooks – a recipe book prepared as part of its Nantwich Eats exhibition.

There are more than 35 recipes, some dating back to the 1920s, which have been provided by local retailers and friends of the museum.

Quantities of ingredients used in the recipes have been expressed in their original form but conversion charts have been provided.

Whether it is ‘Dabbers Pie,’ the recently elected Dabber’s Dish, ‘Nantwich Cheese and Onion Soup’ or ‘Sausage and Apple Bake’, the museum hopes users will enjoy the recipes and, perhaps, adapting them to modern tastes.

The book is available from the museum shop. It costs £1.50 with all proceeds going to museum funds.

It is reputed to be selling like hot cakes.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
