A South Cheshire mum is celebrating the first anniversary of her booming jewellery business – with the launch of a new website.
Blue Apple Jewellery, based in Shavington, has gained customers from all over the UK just 12 months after launching.
And former teacher Hannah Walker, the brains behind the company, hopes a new chapter could see her customer base extend around the world.
Hannah’s company, which celebrates its first birthday tomorrow (October 26), specialises in using Swarovski Crystals and Pearls because of their luminosity and versatility.
“I combine these beautiful crystals with quality sterling silver and vermeil gold,” said Hannah (pictured, right, with son Luca).
“To me, designing and making jewellery is not just about creating a fashion accessory, it’s about making a statement, completing the perfect look, being unique and fulfilling a passion.”
Hannah, 39, has seen her customer numbers rise from just a few friends to over 500 in just 12 months, from as far afield as Scotland and Devon.
Before launching the company, she worked as a primary school teacher in Staffordshire.
But when she left to be a mum for the first time, her husband Alex persuaded her to follow her passion for jewellery.
“I started putting pieces together and selling them online and at local jewellery parties, and they were really popular,” she said.
Her new website www.blueapplejewellery.com was launched last month, displaying pieces which range in price from £8 to £80.
“Swarovski produce crystals and crystal pearls in an amazing array of colours, not all of these are featured on our website,” added Hannah, originally from Bridgnorth in Shropshire.
“However, if there is a specific colour you are looking for we can create most of the pieces in a different colour or shade.
“It may be that you want a bracelet or necklace to match your new Christmas outfit, or for the perfect gift for a friend or loved one and you know their favourite colour.”
