Wellington Road in Nantwich is to reopen to traffic tomorrow (September 14) after a two-month closure for sewer works.

Cheshire East are to resurface the road and one the busiest routes in and out of Nantwich will be back open this weekend.

The United Utilities works will continue in nearby Brookfield Park, according to letters that have gone out to nearby residents.

But work to restore the park to its former state could be delayed for months by the winter.

A United Utilities spokesman said: “Work in Wellington Road is now complete.

“Work continues in Brookfield Park and the allotments.

“We will be de-mobilising from these locations as planned in early November and returning at a suitable time for re-seeding and replanting to return the park to its former glory.

“Your patience and co-operation during this work has really helped our team and we would like to thank you for this.”

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
